Andalusia

Posted: October 12, 2007 in Random

This is a post from the metropolis of Andalusia, Alabama. I’m not exactly a fan of small towns. However, I do like some traditions, people, and trees. It seems like the bigger the town gets the less trees, the more neighborhoods and the more they look the same. There is an Olive Garden, a Target and a QT everywhere you look in big towns. Corporate America makes it so you can’t tell where you are unless you ask someone. I think there is a happy medium, but your best bet on finding a cool place to live is to find a legitimate college town.

My favorites in order are…Gainesville, Baton Rouge, College Station, Austin, Oxford, Auburn, Athens, and Eugene.

I couldn’t agree with this post more… college towns are great. However, I must give some love to the middle size city… the 200,000 to 600,000 like Chattanooga TN or Rockford IL.

Perhaps it’s just me…. great post.
