P.E.T.A.!?

Maybe I’m old fashion, maybe I’m heartless, but maybe I just don’t get it.

There really are a lot of organizations that I just wish would go away or at least be ignored.  P.E.T.A. is certainly one of them.  Not because people who hit their dogs with PVC pipe shouldn’t get in trouble and not because I don’t like Dolphins, but my main problem is that they generally get publicity for such irrelevant and trivial stuff, while people are able to do amazingly heartless, evil, and malicious things with it being treated as a simple “choice.”

I read an article about P.E.T.A.’s “approval” of a NYC seafood restaurant letting a really old lobster go die in the ocean instead of dutch oven. Does it not bother anyone else that a sexually irresponsible person can go kill a human being privately and “guilt free”, but that our society, as a whole, seems to get way more joy in saving a really old tree or dolphin that protecting its own race from killing itself?

I mean it’s obvious that some people shouldn’t reproduce, but the reality is also that there have probably have been some potentially great and worthwhile human beings whose lives were snuffed out before they could even take a breath. I’m just venting, not wanting to start a clumb or agency…although F.F.A.F.S.A.T.F.R. (Florida Fans Against Florida State and Tennessee Fans Reproducing) has a nice ring to it. 🙂
